Automobile
BLG Logistics manages the
transport of automobiles and automotive with its network of 20 sites throughout Europe.
They provide auto parts for
companies, check for any
damage and make sure the
auto parts get to the
dealerships. They also do the
finishing touches on cars to
the customer’s preference.
BLG can take care of the
transport, be it by train, by truck or ship and provide sustainable and costumized solutions.
Container
The company manages the
transport of containers and
objects they call “High and
Heavy", belonging to the automobile branch, that can’t be shipped in containers for example tractors or big pipes. The content of a
container doesn’t matter to the
BLG: the only things they need
to know are its weight or if it’s
hazardous. This information is
important for appropriate and
safe storage.
Contract
This is the heart of the
company. They organise
every process so everything
is at its place at the right time.
The products that are taken
care of by BLG Logistics can
vary from cookies to furniture
to clothing, but the most
common are auto parts. They have many big companies they
provide their service to, like
Ikea and Bosch.

CAREER
At BLG you can work in a wide variety of fields. You might seek to design special offers for individual clients in the project and process management, develop new software solutions in the IT area or take care of the storing and movement of the goods in the field of warehouse logistics. BLG most likely offers a job for your very own ambitions and the qualifications you bring with you.
If you dont bring any job experience with you yet, you may be interested in one of the many apprenticeships or the dual studies program BLG offers. Here you will receive a full training of usually up to three years that qualifies you to work in that specific position, be it inside or outside the BLG. You might be interested in a basic apprenticeship as an officemanagement clerk or looking to be an IT specialist in system integration. Or maybe you are interested in becoming a mechatronics engineer or an automotive painter. A dual work/study program is also offered by BLG if you are looking to graduate as a Bachelor in Logistics and Process Management.

The "Bremer Lagerhaus-Gesellschaft" was founded originally as a coalition of local merchants in 1877. They focused on connecting their warehouses by water and coordinating the shipping of the goods centrally. In the following times they played a central role in shaping the ports of Bremen and the city itself. Throughout the course of its existence BLG has succesfully adapted to the changes in commerce and shipping to shape the company that it is today.
